Tim O'Brien
Award-winning Senior Colourist TimO’Brien joined The Farm in June 2025, bringing nearly three decades of industry experience. Starting his career with a foundation in photography, Tim entered post-production handling daily rushes for feature films, working on titles including Trainspotting and Donnie Brasco at Midnight Transfer. He later moved into grading pop promos, commercials and television at Molinare.
After six years at Molinare, Tim went on to Fusion and M2 before joining Evolutions in 2007. Beginning as Senior Colourist, he rose to become Group Creative Director, leading a vibrant creative team across London and Bristol and shaping the company’s creative vision at board level. During this time, he worked on long-running series such as Top Gear, The Apprentice, and BAFTA-winning shows including Taskmaster, 24 Hours in Police Custody and Gone Fishing.
Tim has a strong passion for documentary storytelling and has been recognised with multiple award nominations forseries including The Detectives and Race Across the World, winning an Excellence in Grading award for SAS: Who Dares Wins. His recent feature documentary credits include Sven and Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action for Netflix and Amazon. He has also graded numerous projects for Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay which, unsurprisingly, has inspired a love of cooking outside the grading suite.
