Nick Fry
Nick Fry is a highly respected re-recording mixer with 30 years of experience in the industry—25 of them spent at The Farm, where he is now Head of The Farm Audio department. Nick began his career as a runner and steadily worked his way up, driven by a deep passion for sound and storytelling. Throughout his career, he has worked across all genres, with a particular fondness for documentary and scripted comedy. He is always on the lookout for new technology, eager to explore the latest advances and how they can enrich the craft of mixing.
For Nick, collaboration is at the heart of everything he does, whether with his creative team or directly with productions.
A career highlight for Nick has been the phenomenal success of Formula 1: Drive to Survive, where he was proud to play a small part in its impact. Beyond that, he takes great pride in every project he works on. His dedication and craft have earned him numerous awards, including two BAFTAs, three RTS Awards, two Broadcast Tech Awards, a Cinema Audio Society Award, a Motion Picture Sound Editors Award, and two Emmy nominations—plus many other nominations.
