IT Strategy & Leadership

- Define and execute the company’s IT strategy, aligning technology with business and production goals.

- Lead and develop the IT team, setting standards for service delivery, security, and infrastructure management.

- Manage IT budgets, vendors, and technology roadmaps.

- Act as the primary escalation point for critical production IT issues.

Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud

- Architect and manage a Microsoft-centric environment, including:

o Microsoft 365

o Azure

o Entra ID / Active Directory

o Intune / Endpoint Manager

o Defender security stack

- Oversee identity management, conditional access, device compliance, and endpoint security.

- Drive adoption of modern workplace tools while maintaining compatibility with production workflows.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

- Own the organisation’s security strategy and posture, implementing best practices across all systems.

- Manage security tools including Microsoft Defender, Coro, and security monitoring platforms.

- Implement and maintain:

o MFA and identity security

o Zero-Trust architecture

o Endpoint detection and response (Coro)

o Security incident response procedures

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry frameworks such as:

o TISAX

o MPA Content Security

o ISO 27001 (or equivalent)

Production & Media Infrastructure

- Maintain highly available infrastructure supporting post-production workflows including:

o High-performance storage

o Media asset management systems

o Render and processing infrastructure

o Remote editorial pipelines

- Ensure secure collaboration with studios, clients, and remote artists.

- Knowledge of ScheduAll or other scheduling software platforms.

- Work closely with production teams to understand evolving workflow requirements.

Infrastructure & Operations

- Oversee management of:

o Windows and hybrid environments

o Network infrastructure

o Virtualisation and cloud services

o Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity

- Ensure systems meet the performance demands of large media files and high-throughput

workflows.

Vendor & Technology Management

- Manage relationships with vendors, MSPs, and technology partners.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve efficiency, security, and scalability.

- Negotiate contracts and licensing agreements, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Skills & Experience Required

- Significant experience in senior IT leadership roles.

- Deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise technologies, including:

o Microsoft 365

o Azure

o Active Directory / Entra ID

o Intune / Endpoint Manager

o Microsoft Defender security stack

- Strong background in cybersecurity strategy and operations.

- Knowledge of ScheduAll or other scheduling software platforms.

- Experience supporting high-performance environments where uptime is critical.

- Proven ability to lead and develop IT teams.

- Experience implementing identity, endpoint, and network security frameworks.

- Monitor and configure GLPI Helpdesk, develop plugins, manage integrations, and perform data imports

- Administer SMTP services

- Ease of applying tactical solutions

- Manage certificate issuance and renewal

- Develop and maintain automations and integrations with Azure

- Conduct R&D on replacing commercial applications with open-source solutions (FOSS)

- Design IT solutions to meet business needs

- Perform analytical work and create clear documentation

- Provide office IT support (laptop builds, VDE, cabling, software installation, MFA, applications)

- Support adoption of the NIST cybersecurity framework

- Conduct vulnerability scans

- Manage and monitor Coro security platform, including incident response

Desirable

- Experience in post-production, film, audio, or broadcast environments.

- Knowledge of MPA security standards or TPN compliance.

- Familiarity with high-performance storage systems used in media production.

- Experience implementing Zero Trust security architecture.

- Experience with Salt automation

- Experience with Apache Airflow

- Experience with SuiteCRM

- Familiarity with FOSS and open source

- Maintain and monitor SQL Server databases

- Certifications such as:

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect

o CISSP / CISM

o Microsoft Security certifications
